Featured Arizona Wineries
Sedona Winefest is proud to feature some of Arizona’s finest wineries. Each winery offers a distinct profile of flavors specific to the region and vineyard where the grapes are grown. Surprisingly, Arizona’s climate has proven to be perfect for wine growers, as it rivals many of the historic vineyards locations in Europe. Wine experts from each winery will teach you about their offerings so you can select the wines best suited to your palate and the foods it best pairs with. September usually marks the end of harvest in the vineyards of Arizona, and is the ideal time of year to savor the unique tastes and aromas each winery offers.
Below are the wineries that particpated in Sedona Winefest 2014. We expect all to return and several new wineries to join in the fun.
Alcantara, largest vineyard in Northern Arizona, was started by Bob and Barbara Predmore in 2005; a little piece of Eden at the confluence of Verde River and Oak Creek. Experience the Tuscan-inspired tasting room for Estate and handcrafted award winning wines surrounded by Verde River, Indian ruins, wildlife and grapevines.
Eric Glomski & Maynard Keenan purchased the historic Dos Cabezas Vineyards in early 2007 and renamed the Willcox vines Arizona Stronghold Vineyards. They believe the soils and climate at the vineyard stand up to the finest in the world, feeling strongly that their wines express, first and foremost, Arizona, and secondarily the grapes and hands of the vignerons involved. They believe that great wine doesn’t have to be expensive; it doesn’t have to be pretentious; and it doesn’t have to be hard to find. Their tasting room recently opened in Old Town Cottonwood in Northern Arizona.

The mission of Grand Canyon Winery is to provide excellent, sustainably farmed, local Arizona wine to visitors from around the world. Working with Eric Glomski of Page Springs Cellars, we currently offer a well balanced red blend of Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Syrah, and a white blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Chenin Blanc which is fragrant and fruit forward with a surprisingly dry finish. Visit our new tasting room upstairs at The Station 66 Italian Bistro in historic downtown Williams.
The estate vineyards of Javelina Leap Vineyards & Winery are located on the slopes of an ancient volcano. These soils lend intense characters of minerals, earth & fruit to the wines produced here. The owners and winemakers Rod & Cynthia Snapp ask that you share these handcrafted wines with your friends and loved ones. Visit their newly remodeled tasting room at 1565 Page Springs Road in Cornville from 11AM to 5 PM daily.
Deb Wahl, owner of Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery has heard many times that “good wine grows on gentle slopes with a river nearby”, which is why her vineyard is located near beautiful Sedona, across from Oak Creek. In the higher elevations of the property, they grow Syrah & Merlot, and in the lower portion they produce Zinfandel & Chardonnay. They produce full-bodied flavorful reds and lean whites in small batches, giving individual attention to each barrel. Visit www.oakcreekvineyards.net to learn more!
At Page Springs Cellars and Arizona Stronghold Vineyards our goal is to create delicious wines that express the unique character of our landscape. We trust that our wines and our winemaking convey our philosophies concerning family, education and living life to it’s fullest. Good wine is not strictly the esoteric fare of nobility; wine is for the people.- Eric Glomski (founder/vigneron)
I am committed to making regional wines, wines from this place. We do not import grapes or wine. The wines we make at Pillsbury Wine Company come from this region, I know we can make phenomenal wines from this vineyard. The reds are distinctively fragrant, powerful and complex, and the whites have a unique viscous quality, with pronounced tropical fruit characters. I am partial to Rhone varieties, and want to plant Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Malvasia and Viognier. One of my ambitions has always been to make a great Arizona Chateauneuf, and here we have what it takes.
Su Vino Winery, Scottsdale, is a family owned and operated winery located in the Arts District of Downtown Scottsdale. Su Vino is an award winning winery having garnered over 40 medals in International competitions and we are the first and only winery in the Scottsdale area.
